WTA 2023: Raducanu beats Danka at Indian Wells

Following the success of her 2021 victory at the US Open, Raducanu had largely struggled to build on her meteoric rise.
Plagued by injuries, Raducanu had somewhat struggled since.
In the build up to her match against Montenegro's Danka Kovinic, Raducanu faced illness and a reucrring wrist injury ahead of her match. Having not had the chance to warm up before the match, Emma managed to win in straight sets, 6-2 6-3.
This performance showcased Raducanu's determination, focus and skill that led her to winning her first major. We hope to see much more of Raducanu in the coming months.
