The reigning champions take the 2023 trophy

Following a nail biting, hard-fought game, watching Siya Kolisi lift the trophy for his team, and for South Africa was incredible. The pure joy was palpable as the Springboks became the first ever four-time World Champions of the Rugby World Cup, and remain the reigning champions from 2019. An epic end to a spectacular tournament.

Portugal’s unexpected victory against Fiji

With a 78th minute try by Rodrigo Marta and an all-important conversion by Samuel Marques…history was made on the final whistle. Despite this being only their second Rugby World Cup, Portugal secured the victory 24 - 23, and players and fans celebrated wildly at Stadium de Toulouse (despite not progressing to the quarter finals).

Argentina send Wales out of the World Cup

A breathtaking final six minutes for the first quarter final of the tournament. Despite Wales leading throughout the game, Argentina fought back with a superb second half and scored two late tries, including an incredible intercept try from Nicolas Sanchez, securing their spot in the semis.
